Art to art :: Professional Photography Adelaide

I recently photographed a number of pieces of art for Port Adelaide local artist Mandi Glynn-Jones. Photographing art is a lot harder than one would think. There are many things to consider, like light balance, reflection, colour balance, controlling distortion removing CA, and the list goes on.

Half of Mandi’s work is described by Mandi as starting off as ‘manic doodling’ (the black and white works). She’s been drawing these since 1993 and they have progressed into mind-bogglingly detailed works of art. Her canvas work is also remarkable, some surreal, some abstract and some dabbling into the landscape arena.

Unfortunately she is yet to have a website, but you can catch some of her work at the “P’Art of the Fringe” exhibition at Black Diamond Gallery, 66 Commercial Road, Port Adelaide SA 5015. More info available from the Port Community Arts Centre on (08) 8341 2430.
