From the wedding of the awesome Machiko & Kris. Aki and I were lucky enough to attend this wedding as guests – but of course I brought a camera just in case. So glad I did!

Lori and Dan are a really genuine, sweet couple. Having Scottish heritage they opted for a hand-binding ritual (is ritual the right word!?) at their ceremony (held at the lawns of The Old Clarendon Inn). Danny is a musician and so serenaded Lori, with a song he wrote about her long ago, during the reception. Despite being quite a quiet couple, they (and their friends) had an awesome party which I was really lucky to be able to photograph. It started with Danny singing and went well into the night.
The staff at The Old Clarendon were also amongst the friendliest I’ve had the pleasure of working with.
Recently Lori & Dan married at The Old Clarendon Inn. Clarendon is a beautiful place to hold a wedding and the staff were hardworking and very pleasant. Full post to come soon.
Having photographed a lot of weddings around Adelaide I have worked with a plethora of make-up artists. I’ve seen the good, the bad and the ugly (one make-up-zilla). The vast majority are awesome to work with and nearly all of my brides have been happy with their make-up.
These are my top 3 recommended make-up artists from Adelaide. These are the most professional, kindest and efficient make-up artists I’ve met:
Lauren Parkinson of belleZar Studio is at the forefront of style for wedding and fashion make-up (and Anita of belleZar also does a great job with hair):
Tallora of Mobile Make-overs is award winning and the most efficient make-up artist I’ve met:
Vicky of Make-up by Vicky is friendly, well experienced and talented:
Honorable mention goes to my old uni friend Thi of Obsessed with beauty; she’s lovely and youthful, check out her website for some great make up ideas!

But it’s all a secret so I can’t blog any details! Was an awesome wedding with amazing people, lots of emotion, blue skies and plenty of fun.
This was my first time in 2 years photographing a wedding at Glen Ewin Estate, it’s always great to revisit places and see them in a different light (quite literally for a photographer). Shooting around noon in sunny conditions is never ideal, but with a bit of effort compelling photographs can be made; and when the couple love each other as evidently as Daphne and Shoun the job is made just that bit easier.
Daphne & Shoun are both from Chinese backgrounds – Shoun’s family being based in Malaysia and Daphne’s originally from Singapore, but now based in the US. And so guests came from literally all over the globe to help celebrate. The ceremony was administered by Shoun and Daphne’s Paradise Church Pastor, which made it a really intimate and quite entertaining affair as he knew a lot about Shoun & Daphne – it was like having a best friend run the ceremony for them. Daphne and Shoun and all their family have a great sense of humour, infectious laughs and beam with intelligence and love.
