Abbie & Dean held their wedding in the beautiful Clare Valley. Being from the area, I’m sure they wouldn’t mind being described as a friendly, down-to-earth, country couple. Their friends and family were all extremely friendly also.
The ceremony was held at an abandoned train station and the reception in a farm machinery shed. A risky wedding-style, but despite the unpredictable and sometimes freezing weather, they pulled it off; a fantastic wedding day in beautiful settings.
Just before the ceremony the heavens opened up; and it poured. Fortunately it slowed when Abbie arrived and after the ceremony we hid out in an old barn for a few photos until the rain cleared.
After leaving the train station (in 4wd wedding ute’s), we first headed to the back of a wind farm, which was freakin’ freezing! [It was a wind farm after all.]
We moved on to a Canola field, where the lighting and scenery were beautiful, alas the rain returned after just a few shots. So we went to a hay shed for some portraits and then moved on to the reception – the bridal party riding in the back of the ute’s.The shot of the shoes is taken outside the reception – testament to Abbie’s effort throughout the day.
Congratulations once again Abbie & Dean.
