Kana-chan, Ryu-san gokekkon 5shuunen hontouni omedetou gozaimasu!
Kana-chan, a good friend of Aki, originally saw my photography when I made a calendar a couple of years ago. She took a liking to the landscapes and then followed my work on this blog (she said although she can’t read the words, she enjoys seeing the love stories told by images).
Recently I spent some time over in Japan and just happened to be going through Naha in Okinawa where Kana & Ryu live. What started out as a “Let’s get together to take some photos”, (as they never had proper wedding photos previously) turned into “Let’s get together and then have dinner afterwards”. Which naturally progressed into a full blown wedding party. And why shouldn’t there be a massive celebration for 5 years of marriage?
In traditional dress, and nontraditional hair and make up styling, Kana and Ryu looked stunning. It was a great party with some surprise guests. Held at Top Note (a restaurant with stage/musically styled venue), a live band played, tears were shed and many drinks were drunk. They even kissed (a huge deal in public for Japanese people) – but you’ll have to see the slideshow for that photo :).
Thanks so much for having me along, look forward to catching up again in the future.

vegiebug - Oh my gosh, so many tears! This is awesome. It looks like it was such a great night. Things I am loving the most, her smiles, her hair, his hair! 🙂
