Where to start? What a day!
The night before the wedding Amy & Travis heard a disturbance in their front yard and on inspection found a group of youths trying to break into their parked car. Travis chased the group until 2 of them turned around, and so Travis became the chasee. He ran into his house and slammed the door just in time, but the youths started kicking the door. How freakin scary would that be. It’s lucky Travis had his sweet face not tarnished with black eyes for the wedding!
So with that drama behind them, it was an early start – taking some pics of Arny their dog with Travis. After the hair and make-up photos of Amy we all headed toward Macclesfield and Longview Winery. I was one of the few lucky to not become lost on the way, and so the wedding was put back half an hour. Amy took the opportunity to visit the local pub (what a sport), while Travis and the best man, Trevor, helped Travis’ Dad (the other best man) to prepare after arriving a tad late.
Amy was relaxed throughout the whole day and family and friends were treated to a drink by Longview and waited in the shade. The ceremony was lovely with the vineyards as a backdrop. The reception also was a lot of fun; lots of dancing and the photobooth was a real hit. The speeches hurt my chest, and made me cry when I looked back over the images – it was really special Travis’ Dad was able to make it to the wedding.
